Rowe set for Marseille

Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe looks set to make the move to Marseille, after refusing to play for the Canaries in the club’s first game of the 2024-25 Championship season. The 21-year-old starlet will move to Marseille on a permanent basis, after Norwich rejected L’OM’s initial bid of a loan transfer deal with an obligation to buy.

Rowe, who made his debut for the Canaries in 2021, has since gone on to play 47 times in the club’s first team including 12 Premier League appearances in 2021-22. Last season, an impressive 12 goals in 32 games in the Championship caught the eye of numerous European clubs, but Marseille appear to be in pole position.

It is understood Norwich had received a loan offer worth 2 million for Rowe, but rejected that deal insisting the club wanted to keep hold of the winger for another season at least. The club rejected the offer and said if a deal were to be completed, only a permanent transfer would be on the table.

It is understood that Rowe will be allowed to move to L’OM in a deal worth around £20 million.
