Neymar could soon be hooking up with Lionel Messi for the third time in his career, with the Brazil international having taken action that sets up the mouthwatering possibility of a reunion with his old Barcelona colleague.

The 32-year-old has just returned to action after a year out due to an ACL injury, but with just a matter of months left to run on his contract with Saudi Pro League club, Neymar’s future is uncertain.

Indeed, the attacker is widely expected to be on a hunt for a new club after spending much of his time in Saudi injured, proving poor value for money for his €90 million transfer from PSG.

The possibility of working with Messi again, though, is a tantalising one. Indeed, Neymar has fuelled rumours that he could move to join the World Cup winner at Inter Miami by purchasing a house locally for $28.5 million (€26m).

TodoFichajes reports that the South American attacker has purchased a lavish property in Bal Harbour, which is very close to Miami Beach.

Naturally, this has sparked claims that Neymar could be about to hook up with Messi once more at David Beckham’s MLS franchise.

But the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is not the only former colleague that ‘Ney’ may join at Inter Miami.

Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets are former Barcelona stars also at the club.

The possibility of hooking up with Messi and Suarez to rekindle the famous ‘MSN’ forward line late in the careers of the trio is an enticing one.

The report states that he “would be happy to retire in Miami alongside the two forwards and friends with whom he conquered Europe”.

Quite how Inter Miami might get around MLS’ strict financial rules to add Neymar to Tata Martino’s roster is, however, for the moment unclear.
