Barcelona have announced that they have reached an agreement with Nike over a new €1.7 billion kit sponsorship deal.
The Blaugrana’s financial issues could soon be alleviated to a certain extent. Negotiations over fresh terms with kit manufacturing giant Nike had been ongoing for several months and they have now reached a satisfactory conclusion.
Despite public differences between the club and the American company, the two have agreed to put pen to paper on a lucrative new deal for the Catalans, which will go a long way towards providing the necessary funds to put them back on an even keel financially.

Already on Friday, news began filtering through from Catalunya that an accord over a new €1.7bn contract had been reached. Barcelona will now receive €48 million per season from Nike until 2028 when the previous contract was set to expire.
From 2028 onwards, the figure will then be €60m annually until the deal concludes in 2038. The club have now officially announced the agreement and provided a public statement on the matter.
