Raum touted as a possible replacement for Davies at Bayern

According to Bild, David Raum is one of the names on Bayern Munich’s list of possible replacements for Alphonso Davies.

With Alphonso Davies’ contract with Bayern Munich set to expire at the end of the season, the Canadian’s future at the club is in question. 

Whether it will be possible to agree a contract extension with him is currently up in the air, and therefore it makes sense for Bayern to look at possible replacements.

According to Bild, one of the candidates to potentially replace Davies is Leipzig and Germany defender David Raum. 

Earlier this month, Raum was asked if he could see himself joining Bayern.

“To be honest, I have no idea what will happen after the season, but I have a contract here and everything is great,” Raum told Bild’s Phrasenmäher podcast. 

“You know how it is in football. I feel very comfortable here and I see my future in Leipzig. But I’ve also said, for example, that the Premier League could be a dream and a big goal at some point,” he said. 

The 26-year-old left-back, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, joined RB Leipzig from Hoffenheim in 2022. His contract runs until the summer of 2027.
