Report: Bødo exercise €5.5 million purchase option on Frankfurt's Hauge
By Peter Weis@PeterVicey

The online portal “Fussball.news” is currently reporting that Norwegian club FK/Bødo Glimt have exercised their purchase option on Eintracht Frankfurt loanee Jens Petter Hauge.

At least one source reports that Norway’s FK Bødo/Glimt have exercised the purchase option inherent in the loan deal that saw them reclaim their old academy player from Eintracht Frankfurt. Online sports portal “Fussball.news” claims that Germany’s RheinMainAdler are set to collect €5.5 million on the transfer flop they once invested between €7 and €12 million in.

Hauge has once again found his feet since returning to his Scandinavian roots, scoring four goals and registering three assists in 21 Eliteserien appearances. He also scored two goals and pocketed an assist in Bodø’s Europa League win over FC Porto last night. Hauge’s estimated market worth has recently been bumped back up to €3 million.

Eintracht will presumably wish to rid themselves permanently of a player who reportedly made previous loan stints difficult for his parent club due to issues related to his work ethic. Hauge’s SGE performance numbers included two Bundesliga goals, three assists in Germany’s domestic cup, and one goal scored in Frankfurt’s 2021/22 winning Europa League campaign.
