The fleet-footed winger has encountered yet another unfortunate injury in his budding career.

According to the latest report from Sport BILD, Julien Duranville has suffered a serious dislocated shoulder injury.

The unforseen incident occured when Borussia Dortmund took on Real Madrid last Saturday evening at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Duranville, a 63rd-minute sub for Brandt, clashed with Fran Garcia and was replaced less than 20 minutes later by Carney Chukwuemeka.

BVB’s quarter-final stage departure appears to have come with a further blow, as the tabloid suggests the 19-year-old needs several months recovery.

Although no official diagnosis has been provided by the Ruhrpott club, there are murmurings of surgery in the ether.

Unfortunately, the Belgian is no stranger to the sidelines with various muscle injuries curtailing his minutes in Black and Yellow.

Since joining in January 2023, the winger has managed only 27 appearances for Dortmund’s first team to date.
