There are growing reports that Milan are becoming frustrated with Theo Hernandez over the latest incident, preparing to sell him this summer.

The left-back and occasional captain has already caused a great deal of controversy this season with several situations, clashing with coaches Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceicao, then getting himself sent off in the Champions League play-offs against Feyenoord.

La Gazzetta dello Sport point out that he asked to be substituted at half-time when his side was losing to Como due to an injury problem.

Milan went on to win the match 2-1 without Theo Hernandez, who felt a twinge in his calf muscle and did not wish to risk making it worse.

However, two days later the player arrived for international duty with France and seemed content to remain with the squad, even when not training.

His France teammate Marcus Thuram, on the other hand, left the camp with an ankle injury and preferred to work with the Inter medical staff.

La Gazzetta dello Sport feel confident Milan do not want to renew Theo Hernandez’s contract, so as the current deal expires in 2026, a sale this summer is essential to avoid risk losing him as a free agent.

Alex Jimenez is now being tipped to take his place at left-back when Serie A resumes next weekend.
