Manuel Riemann hasn’t played since he was suspended following incidents in the dressing room before VfL Bochum’s relegation play-off matches last season.

But now, according to both WAZ and Sky Germany, the former first-choice goalkeeper is set to make his return to the squad.

According to the reports, the legal proceedings over Riemann’s suspension have been concluded with the parties agreeing an out-of-court settlement.

The executive committee and the supervisory board were undecided for a long time, but the decision has now been made, with new head coach Dieter Hecking and CEO Ilja Kaenzig reportedly in favor of bringing Riemann back.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper is expected to return to training on Monday and will initially be third choice behind Patrick Drewes and Timo Horns.
