Roma released a statement confirming that Paulo Dybala underwent surgery today in London, as his season is over.

The forward sustained the thigh injury as a substitute during the Serie A victory over Cagliari on March 16.

He was diagnosed with a lesion of the semitendinosus tendon in his left leg and it was decided that an operation was the best way to ensure there would be no relapse.

This means he is out for the rest of the season, but can be available for training in the summer.

Roma confirmed in an official statement this afternoon that the surgical procedure was successful in London and in the coming days, he will begin the rehabilitation process at the Trigoria training ground.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentina international will be in the stands of the Stadio Olimpico to cheer on his teammates for the showdown with Juventus on April 6.
