According to The Athletic, clubs in the Middle East are now being “more selective with their transfer targets” and they do not believe that there is a market for Rashford.

FootballTransfers has constantly affirmed that, despite the links, Paris Saint-Germain do not wish to make Rashford a transfer target either.

Speaking to journalist Henry Winter, Rashford publically declared that he is open to leaving Old Trafford. “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.

“I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”

“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse.

Naturally, speculation has now opened over where Rashford’s future lies. The player is on a hefty wage which means it would be hard for the winger to find a new home on a permanent basis.

The Telegraph has reported something different. They have said that the Saudi Pro League are keen on Rashford, along with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The outlet states that the Pro League “will not be fazed by the money involved in trying to land such an ambitious target.”

Amorim on Rashford

Ruben Amorim suggested he wants Rashford to stay and fight for his place

“Of course, because this kind of club needs big talent and he’s a big talent, so he just needs to perform at the highest level and that is my focus,” he said. “I just want to help Marcus.

“I think he’s right, we have here a new challenge, it’s a tough one. For me, it’s the biggest in football because we are in a difficult situation and this is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“So this is really a new challenge and the biggest one and I hope all my players are ready for this new challenge.

“What I want is to take the best stuff of Marcus Rashford as with the other players so I don’t talk about the future, I just talk about the present. We are better with Marcus Rashford, that is simple, and we will try different things to push Marcus to the best levels that he has shown in the past.”
