Officials from Saudi Arabia met with Vinicius Jr’s entourage in Madrid, according to reports.

A story from Foot Mercato today states that the Middle East enterprise is willing to offer “him a CRAZY deal for FOUR years.” The delegates showed Vinicius Jr and his entourage a project with a video to appeal to him. They told him he would have a “strong influence” in recruitment as well.

It follows Duncan Castles’ exclusive in The Transfers Podcast from the summer. Saudi Arabia is seeking to position Vinicius as the new face of their league in the near future when Cristiano Ronaldo departs the scene, with the Portugal legend’s occasional misbehaviour causing a certain amount of tension in the Middle East, we were told.

Vinicius is understood to have been offered a post-tax pay packet of up to €1 billion across the duration of a five-year stay in Saudi Arabia last summer and it is known that Madrid were not entirely opposed to letting him go.

Real Madrid are not actively trying to sell Vinicius,” Duncan Castles told the Transfers Podcast. “But they know that in terms of securing a high transfer fee, nobody is going to be able to outbid the Saudi Pro League.

“They also know these salary offers have been placed in front of the player and there’s been a degree of interest.

“If he accedes to that invitation, they’re prepared to sell them if they can get a fee commensurate with the kind of salary that’s being offered to Vinicius.

Another story said that PSG would love to strike back at Real Madrid and Florentino Perez for taking Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer during the summer, by signing Vinicius Jr.

A report from Revelo suggests that the Ligue 1 champions remain imbittered about how Mbappe left the side.

Interestingly, it also mentions Manchester United and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the winger, though it’s unlikely that either club would come close to offering near the pay that sides in Saudi Arabia would offer.
