There were plenty of changes to the Serie A table over the course of the 26th round of 2024-25 fixtures, as Inter have overtaken Napoli for top spot, Juventus have made it back into the Champions League places, and Roma are closing in on the likes of Milan, Bologna and Fiorentina.
Here’s a reminder of how this weekend’s results went in Serie A.
Serie A table: Inter overtake Napoli for top spot
Inter are the standalone leaders of the Serie A table after a Lautaro Martinez-inspired 1-0 victory at home against Genoa. Napoli had an opportunity to go back into first place, but fell to a 2-1 defeat away against Como, which means they are now one point behind the Nerazzurri in the standings.

In a real treat for the neutral, Inter and Napoli will face each other in a ‘title decider’ at the Stadio Maradona on Saturday evening.
Atalanta shook off the disappointment of their midweek Champions League exit with an emphatic 5-0 win away against Empoli. Ademola Lookman, who made headlines earlier in the week after receiving some ‘hurtful’ feedback from coach Gian Piero Gasperini, hit a brace on his first start since returning from injury.
La Dea are in third place on 54 points, three behind Inter at the top. A draw between the Nerazzurri and Napoli at the weekend would suit them nicely.
Juventus back in Champions League spots
Juventus are back in the Champions League positions after a 1-0 win away against Cagliari. Dusan Vlahovic, back in the starting line-up, repaid Thiago Motta with the game-winning goal in the second half.

Lazio were held to a 0-0 draw away against Venezia, which means they have fallen behind Juventus in the Serie A table, and are now two points behind the Bianconeri with a tally of 47 after 26 matches.
A gap is beginning to open up between Lazio and Fiorentina in fifth and sixth place. La Viola were beaten 1-0 by Hellas Verona in a game that saw Moise Kean stretchered off, which puts them five points behind the Biancocelesti.
One point behind Fiorentina, on 41 total, are Milan and Bologna, who sit in seventh and eighth place respectively.
The Rossoneri were beaten 2-1 by Torino, which rounded off a week to forget after their earlier exit from the Champions League at the hands of Feyenoord. Bologna also suffered a defeat at the weekend, losing 2-0 to relegation-threatened Parma.
No other team in Serie A has picked up more points than Roma in 2025. The Giallorossi put in a determined 4-0 win over Monza at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday night, which means they are now just one point behind Milan and Bologna.
