Teams could be on red alert to sign Fikayo Tomori this summer after the Milan star’s agency spoke on his future and admitted that the England international is ‘thinking about his future’.

Tomori has been a standout performer for Milan since joining them from Chelsea in 2021 for €31 million, however he has struggled with injury this season, only recently making his return to the first team after nearly three months out with a hamstring issue.

The 26-year-old still has more than three years remaining on his contract at Milan and the director of the agency Sport Invest insisted that, while Tomori was still committed to his club, there are plenty of teams interested in signing the defender.

“You know, our Fikayo is a hot commodity,” Viktor Kolar told sport.cz. “He is loyal and doesn’t want to run away from Milan, especially because the club hasn’t done very well this season.

“Milan is a very good club, but Tomori has the potential to take a step forward in the future. If he is well physically, he will be a defender wanted absolutely everywhere.

“Tomori is already thinking about his future. He comes from a very solid family and knows that the football he plays will not last forever.”

Tomori could seek Premier League return after England snub

Tomori was at the heart of the Milan defence that won the Serie A title last season, however this year the Rossoneri sit 16 points behind rivals Inter at the top of the table.

Milan have no desire to sell their star defender but a return to the Premier League could tempt Tomori, particularly having missed out on Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad.

Tomori has made just five appearances for his country and has admitted his frustration at his limited opportunities at international level, having been left out of the squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Should Southgate opt against selecting Tomori for the European Championships this summer, the ex-Chelsea man may push for a return to England in the hopes of boosting his international credentials.

The likes of Manchester United and Arsenal are thought to have monitored Tomori during his time in Milan and both would be among the favourites to pursue a move if it became possible in the coming months.
