Thomas Tuchel has given a squad update ahead of Bayern’s first Champions League semifinal clash with Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich are sweating over the fitness of a number of key players ahead of Tuesday night’s Champions League semifinal first leg clash against Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena.

At a press conference on Monday, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel said it’s doubtful whether Konrad Laimer and Matthijs de Ligt, who both came off in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, will be fit to play.

The same can be said for Dayot Upamecano, Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sané, who were all left out of the squad for the Eintracht game.

“Konny, Matthijs and Upa are being assessed at the moment. Konny looks the best in terms of training. We also have to see with Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane,” Tuchel said.

“We’ll see how training goes today. Konny will try it. For Matthijs and Upa, maybe it’s a bit early. There will be some last-minute decisions.”

Bayern will definitely be without long-term absentees Bouna Sarr, Sacha Boey and Kingsley Coman.

The match kicks off on Tuesday evening at 21:00 CET at the Allianz Arena.
