Will Paul Wanner choose to play for Germany or Austria? Since the start of the Bundesliga season, this question has been asked over and over again.

The answer hasn’t been given yet. Despite accepting an invitation to play for Germany’s Under-21s this month, the 18-year-old still hasn’t made up his mind.

He made that clear after Heidenheim’s 0-0 draw with Hoffenheim, when asked whether he prefers the philosophy of Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann or that of Austrian coach Ralf Rangnick.

“I like both. That’s all I’m going to say,” Wanner told DAZN.

Wanner has impressed at Heidenheim on loan from Bayern this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 11 appearances in all competitions.
