Luciano Spalletti’s former side Napoli have five representatives in the latest Italy national team squad for the Nations League quarter-finals against Germany coming up in March, which means that Antonio Conte’s side have more Azzurri call-ups than any other side in Serie A.
Spalletti officially confirmed his 25-man squad for the upcoming Nations League quarter-finals on Friday, handing first call-ups to Atalanta’s Matteo Ruggeri and Torino’s Cesare Casadei.
Napoli have the most players in the Italy squad with five in the form of goalkeeper Alex Meret, defenders Alessandro Buongiorno and Giovanni Di Lorenzo, plus attackers Matteo Politano and Giacomo Raspadori.

Reigning Serie A champions are next on the list with three call-ups for the March international break. Regular starters Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella and Davide Frattesi are in the squad as expected. It would have been four for the Nerazzurri had Federico Dimarco not been injured.

Ruggeri’s first call-up means that Atalanta also have three players in the latest Italy squad. The 22-year-old joins Daniel Maldini and Mateo Retegui.
Juventus, Lazio, Fiorentina and Torino all have two players apiece in the latest squad, as do Premier League side Tottenham with Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie.
Udinese, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Newcastle United all have one player apiece through Lorenzo Lucca, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Riccardo Calafiori and Sandro Tonali respectively.
