Both Bild and Sky Germany are reporting that Oliver Baumann – and not Alexander Nübel – will start in goal for Germany against Italy.

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has apparently made a decision on who will be in goal for the upcoming UEFA Nations League quarter-final against Italy.
According to both Sky Germany and Bild, Oliver Baumann will start ahead of Alexander Nübel.
This is backed up by the fact that the German Football Association announced on Tuesday that Baumann will play with the number 1 on his back.
Hoffenheim’s Baumann and Alexander Nübel, who is on loan at Stuttgart from Bayern Munich, have shared playing time for Germany since Marc-André ter Stegen sustained a long-term injury.
Baumann has kept a clean sheet in each of his appearances for Germany so far – a 1-0 win over the Netherlands and a 7-0 thrashing of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Manchester City’s Stefan Ortega Moreno is also in the squad.
