According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund have told Matthias Sammer that he must decide whether he wants to remain a consultant for the club or work as a TV pundit.

Borussia Dortmund consultant Matthias Sammer hit the headlines earlier this month when he criticized the club’s performance in a 2-1 Champions League defeat to Bologna while working as a pundit for Amazon Prime.
“If we take an analytical approach, this team is physically and mentally out of shape,” Sammer said after the game.
According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund managing director for sport Lars Ricken has now issued an ultimatum to the 57-year-old.
Sammer has reportedly been given until the middle of the week to decide whether he wants to continue advising Dortmund or if he’d prefer to appear as a pundit at BVB matches.
According to the report, Sammer earns €550,000 per season as a consultant for Dortmund and around €20,000 per game as a pundit.
