Here are 10 players you should consider bringing into your Fantasy Bundesliga team for Matchday 28.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Jeremie Frimpong and Harry Kane.
Instead, we will highlight players with a maximum ownership percentage of 20%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 28.
Max Finkgräfe, FC Köln (Defender, 1.7M, 2%)
One of the few bright spots in a difficult campaign for FC Köln, Finkgräfe has broken into the first team. The 20-year-old left-back came off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Augsburg at the weekend, but is in line to return to the starting line-up when Köln take on a Bochum side that have lost five in a row. At just 1.7 million, you can’t really go wrong with Finkgräfe, who has already scored once this season – a superb curling free-kick against Hoffenheim on Matchday 21.
Phillip Mwene, Mainz (Defender, 5.8M, 0%)
Nailed down as a starter at wing-back under Bo Henriksen, Mwene has been Mainz’s second best Fantasy player this season with 112 points. Mainz have kept two clean sheets in a row and now have a tasty home game against Darmstadt coming up.
Niels Nkounkou, Eintracht Frankfurt (Defender, 10.3M, 8%)
Nkounkou was limited to just 6 points last week as Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller decided to take him off at half-time to avoid risking a second yellow card in the second half. If the attacking wing-back starts on Friday against a Werder team that have lost their last four games, he should have great potential.
Aleksandar Pavlovic, Bayern (Midfielder, 1.5M, 6%)
Priced at just 1.5 million, Pavlovic is expected to return to Bayern’s starting lineup after recovering from tonsilitis. If you’re looking for a budget enabler, the central midfielder is definitely a good choice, even if his ceiling isn’t the highest given his defensive responsibilities.
Nadiem Amiri, Mainz (Midfielder, 8.1M, 1%)
Many Fantasy Bundesliga managers were disappointed by the measly 3 points Amiri picked up in Mainz’s last home game, a 2-0 win over Bochum on Matchday 26. But with Mainz facing bottom-placed Darmstadt at home this weekend, it might be worth giving the Mainz midfield linchpin another chance.
Maximilian Arnold, Wolfsburg (Midfielder, 10.2M, 0%)
Wolfsburg got off to a good start under new coach Ralph Hasenhüttl last week, beating Werder 2-0, and will look to build on that performance at home against out-of-form Gladbach. Arnold, who is responsible for all of Wolfsburg’s set pieces, scored 10 points last week and should carry on his good form given his involvement in Wolfsburg’s game. He’s even on sale this week.
Dani Olmo, RB Leipzig (Midfielder, 14.8M, 13%)
The Spaniard has three double-digit hauls in his last four games as Leipzig travel to Freiburg this weekend.
Jonathan Burkardt, Mainz (Striker, 5.1M, 0%)
After needing some time to recover from a lengthy injury, Jonathan Burkardt has stepped up his game recently, scoring 27 points in his last two games. The Mainz striker is on penalty duty and has a very attractive matchup at home against Darmstadt.
Maximilian Beier, Hoffenheim (Striker, 8.8M, 4%)
With five goals in his last five games, Beier could be worth a shot for Hoffenheim’s home game against an Augsburg team with several question marks in defense.
Omar Marmoush, Eintracht Frankfurt (13.1M, 5%)
Going into Friday’s match against out-of-form Werder, Marmoush has scored at least 9 points in Eintracht’s last six home games. The Egyptian striker has an impressive 16 goals (10 goals, six assists) in 22 Bundesliga appearances this season and is likely to add to that tally against a porous Werder defense.
