Haaland’s current deal at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire in 2027 and he has been heavily linked with a big-money move to La Liga, amid interest from both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

However, Man City are confident that Haaland will extend his stay at the club and they are preparing to offer the Norway forward a €120m package, according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old reportedly earns an annual salary worth around €24m (£20m) and Man City are eager to extend his contract by a further five years, as per The Sun, meaning Haaland stands to earn roughly €120m (£100m) in wages if he signs a new deal at the Etihad Stadium.

The Norway international has scored 15 goals in 16 appearances for Man City so far this season and reports suggest he is set to snub interest from Spain in order to sign a contract extension in Manchester.

In May, Haaland told Men in Blazers: “I want to win more of these big trophies because the Treble feeling was unreal. Try to be successful and develop as a player and a person.
