Marcus Rasford has been criticised for his abysmal display against Newcastle on Saturday evening.

The England international started the game at St James’ Park but was not able to find his feet, giving away a multitude of passes and not even forging a single shot on goal.

The Manchester-born forward – who in July signed a new £325,000 a week deal to stay at Old Trafford until 2028 – was hooked off on 61 minutes by Erik ten Hag after struggling to make an impact throughout the encounter.

And fans watching the game were extremely displeased about what they saw from who was their top goalscorer last season, with one Red Devils fan even admitting that he would be throwing a party once Rashford leaves.
