Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy will once again be available for €17.5 million this summer as Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for the 27-year-old.

Guirassy has been one of the breakout stars in the Bundesliga so far this season and he has tallied 17 league goals in just 14 games as Stuttgart push for a place in next year’s Champions League.

Sebastian Hoeness’ side are currently third in the German top flight and are on course to secure European football for the first time since the 2012-13 Europa League.

Guirassy has played a huge role in their incredible form this season, while his strike partner Deniz Undav also has 17 goal contributions in the Bundesliga this term.

Fulham and Man Utd were both linked with a move for Guirassy during the January transfer window and although a move away didn’t materialise, he remains heavily linked with a Premier League switch.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Guirassy still has a release clause included in his Stuttgart contract.

He posted on X: “Serhou Guirassy’s release clause will be valid again in the summer for the same amount – €17.5m.

“After many possibilities in January and final decision to stay at Stuttgart, bids expected to come in again in July. Premier League clubs, already showing interest.”

Man Utd to push for Serhou Guirassy?

Although Man Utd have previously been linked with a move for Guirassy, former Red Devils defender Mikael Silvestre doesn’t believe he is the answer for Erik ten Hag.

In November, he told BettingExpert: “No, I don’t think Guirassy has the level to play for Man United, so I would go elsewhere in terms of a striker.

“I think Hojlund will succeed at Man United, he just needs a bit more time. The dynamic of the team right now is not great, but I believe he can succeed.

“I think it [the lack of goals at Man Utd] is a mix of the collective performance not being at their best and the team not being dominant. [Marcus] Rashford has been struggling to find his form and Hojlund was injured in the beginning. The team is not at their best collectively, so it’s difficult for the individuals to perform well.”

Since Silvestre’s comments, Hojlund has found his feet at Old Trafford and he has now scored four goals and provided two assists in his past four Premier League appearances.
