Antonio Conte, Simone Inzaghi and Nicolo Barella are among the Serie A stars to have picked up one-match suspensions as a result of their actions during the 30th round of 2024-25 fixtures over the weekend.

The Lega Serie A have confirmed that Inzaghi will serve a one-match ban and will also have to pay a €5,000 fine after being sent off at the end of Inter’s 2-1 victory over Udinese on Sunday.

The Nerazzurri coach had already been shown a yellow card during the Udinese win, and was sent off a few minutes before full-time for stepping onto the pitch and angrily berating the match officials. Inzaghi apologised and admitted that the referee was ‘right’ to send him off during his post-match interview.

Barella was also shown a yellow card during Inter 2-1 Udinese, which was his fifth overall this season, which means that, like Inzaghi, he will be suspended for the Serie A match against Parma coming up at the weekend.

Conte will also have to serve a one-match suspension as he also picked up his fifth yellow card of the season during Napoli’s 2-1 win over Milan later on Sunday evening.

Additionally, Juventus and Milan have both been fined €10,000 each. The Bianconeri were punished as a result of its supporters having pointed lasers towards the referees, while the Rossoneri have been punished for delaying kick-off and the re-start of the second half by about three minutes.
