Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has blamed “injustice” for his side’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
Crysencio Summerville’s first West Ham goal was cancelled out by a Casemiro header in the 81st minute, however Jarrod Bowen netted a stoppage-time penalty to condemn Man Utd to their fourth Premier League defeat of the season.
Matthijs de Ligt’s late challenge on Danny Ings was initially waved away by on-field referee David Coote, but he opted to reverse his decision after consulting the VAR screen.

However, Ten Hag has slammed Coote’s controversial decision to award a penalty during his post-match interview with the BBC.
“Three times this season we feel injustice,” the Man Utd boss said.
“We have to score, we created so many chances. We should’ve been two or three up [at half-time].

“Second-half we were forcing it but we allowed them into the game. When you are losing 1-0 you need big personality and character of the team and showed resilience to get back into it. Unfair and unjust the way we conceded the penalty.
“It was so difficult to see. Before the season there was the instruction about VAR only interfering in clear and obvious mistakes. That is definitely not a clear and obvious mistake from the on-field referee.”
Ten Hag continued: “More frustrations but I can do nothing with that. They don’t collect points and that’s what we have to do.
“We have to look in the mirror, we don’t score in a good game from our side. Create loads of chances and concede none but when you lose in this way it’s a bad feeling.”
Will Erik ten Hag be sacked by Man Utd?
Man Utd have only tasted victory in four of their 14 competitive fixtures so far this season, with Ten Hag under massive pressure as a result.
However, the Dutchman signed a contract extension in July and INEOS have kept faith in the ex-Ajax boss, despite their poor set of results to start the campaign.
But, Ten Hag is likely to face increased scrutiny following yet another defeat and he could be sacked if things don’t improve soon.
