Liverpool fans have been speculating about Mohamed Salah‘s future after he was spotted with a camera crew in the city.
Salah, 32, is one of Liverpool‘s all-time greatest players, with the Egyptian having scored a remarkable 243 goals in 392 games for the club since joining from Roma in 2017 for an initial £36.5million fee.
The forward has won eight trophies at Anfield and remains integral to Arne Slot‘s side as they close in on the Premier League title.
However, Salah’s contract expires in the summer and he is yet to extend his deal, with speculation over his future an ongoing major talking point – and the forward has regularly provided cryptic answers when questioned over his future.
Salah was able to speak to foreign clubs about joining on a free transfer in the summer from January, while he continues to be linked with the Saudi Pro League.
And on Wednesday, an image was shared of Salah smiling in his Liverpool training gear while surrounded by a camera crew, something that set tongues wagging among fans.

However, the Egyptian is yet to extend his contract despite it expiring at the end of the season
One shared the photo and said: ‘This better be Salah’s new contract video getting filmed.’
Another added: ‘This image doing rounds. Liverpool’s media team. A happy Salah. Not at the AXA complex. Not at Anfield. Can it be?’
A further fan chimed in with: ‘Mo Salah filming down at the docks with all of his Liverpool gear on…,’ accompanied by the eyes emoji.
An extra fan came up with a theory and said: ‘New contract because we wouldn’t be wasting marketing budget with only 9 games left.’
However, others questioned the veracity of the photo in relation to a new contract announcement and were left unconvinced.
And Mail Sport understands that the viral shot has nothing to do with news on a potential new deal and is rather in relation to the usual broadcast duties required of a Premier League player.
Salah has enjoyed a stunning season in 2024-25, with the 32-year-old netting 27 goals and adding 17 assists in just 29 Premier League games.
However, throughout the campaign, he has also dropped repeated hints over his future and how his time at Anfield may be coming to an end.

Some Liverpool fans speculated the shot could be part of Salah’s new contract announcement
In an interview with Sky Sports in January, Salah even declared that ‘this is my last year’ with Liverpool as he outlined his intention to depart with the Premier League title.
Elsewhere, in November, Salah shocked the football world when he publicly called out the club for a lack of progress on offering him a new deal.
The forward conducted a rare interview with Mail Sport and a small group of other reporters after scoring twice in the 3-2 victory at Southampton, where he said he was ‘more out than in’.
Addressing his contract stand-off, Salah had said: ‘We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club.
‘I’m probably more out than in. You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.
‘I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands.’
Meanwhile, in the aftermath of Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Man City in December in which the forward scored and added an assist, Salah again hinted that he could be on his way out of the club.
‘It’s very special,’ the 32-year-old explained. ‘I said before, I don’t take it for granted. I’m enjoying every minute here.

Salah’s future continues to be a major talking point and he has been linked with Saudi Arabia

Salah’s potential departure would come as a huge blow to Liverpool manager Arne Slot
‘It feels like home. So, yeah, it’s a special feeling. It always is to score at Anfield and win games.
‘Of course, honestly, in my head, it was like this is my problem, until now, the last City game I play for Liverpool, so I’m just gonna enjoy it.
‘The atmosphere was incredible, so I’m enjoying every second here. And yeah, finally we just (hopefully) win the league and see what will happen.’
The Reds are currently nine points clear at the top of the Premier League and could go 12 points ahead of Arsenal if they beat Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday evening.
